About The Role
Are you ready to dive into complex business environments and contribute to high-impact recommendations that drive client success?
As a Senior Director at FTI Delta, you will play a key role in formulating strategic recommendations and implementing changes to clients by leading entire projects or multiple tracks of work, deploying commercial acumen in structuring and presenting challenging deliverables and identifying as well as securing leads from existing projects. You will be a role model for junior consultants and, in time, be recognized as a sector leader.
This role is open to New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dallas locations.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Director, you will lead an entire project or multiple tracks of work in client billable project work with minimal oversight. You will play a key role in problem-solving through data gathering, problem structuring, and insights generation linking together all modules of work, accuracy check, as well as demonstrate financial proficiency by understanding a spectrum of key financial topics in business strategy and performance to enable executive-level conversations and solutioning. You will be expected to lay out problem-solving approaches and structures by translating project scope, then independently identify the required analysis and critical path of work under the framework, while creatively adapting approach to shifts in project scope. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality recommendations and be able to balance delegation of duties vs “doing the work” under challenging engagement conditions. Key to this will be your ability to connect findings to strategic and operational recommendations.
You will leverage your communication and comprehension skills to communicate assignments and direction to internal project teams and communicate upward with the Senior Managing Directors leading the project. You will enable and drive executive-level conversations and recommendations with key client leaders.
You will manage the flow of meetings based on objectives and build consensus; able to present complex financial, commercial, and operational analyses with a commanding expertise and fluency to management executives.
In addition, you will develop end-to-end work plans across engagements; identify critical paths and interdependencies; set milestones and outputs to achieve required project outcomes.
Beyond this, you will also play an important role in the career development of your team, assessing growth opportunities, capability gaps, and action solutions. You will also support work-life balance for key members of your team and direct coaches whom you will mentor; ultimately, you will act as a professional and career role model for more junior members of the team.
Beyond project-based work, you will support Senior Managing Directors in developing thought leadership materials and coordinate and deliver proposals. Additionally, you will help identify leads from existing projects and work with Senior Managing Directors to secure extensions. You will start to be recognized as a sector, sub-sector, or business line leader with your practice area, both internally and externally. Ultimately, you will establish yourself as a key advisor to senior-level clients, with substantive subject matter expertise. This role demands a logical and lateral thinker who is curious, structured, and organized, and has exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You will build strong professional and personal relationships with client teams. As a team player who can work in a truly diverse setting, you can deliver under pressure while keeping a mature demeanor and, most importantly, be a leader who will act as a role model and mentor to junior consultants.

What You Will Need to Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of combined post-graduation professional experience.
- Prior experience in professional services, consulting, investment banking, or prior experience in a Telecom, Media & Technology company.
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) in a professional environment.
- Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's in business administration.
- Experience in cost and revenue transformation, and operating model design.
- Familiarity with operating and business environment / fundamentals prevalent in Technology-based organizations (e.g., R&D, SaaS models, churn, B2B / B2C monetization methods, etc.).
